Position Title Web Developer

Reports To Director of Development Services

This position will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of software applications. Design and develop web software applications using a combination of .NET, HTML, XML and JavaScript.

Responsibilities

• Design software solutions
• Produce quality source code in a timely manner
• Create, document and execute unit test cases
• Manage versioning of software code
• Provide support to the Quality Assurance team to create test plans for software applications
• Work with Project Managers to estimate, develop, document and deliver quality code in a timely manner
• Provide support and defect resolution for software applications in Test, Staging and Production environments
• Research and implement process improvements aimed at maximizing application performance and reliability
• Create release documentation to deploy applications throughout different environments
• In addition to application development, the ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Required Skills and Experience

• In-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems
• Standard application design and development procedures
• Advanced ASPX.NET skills including VB.NET inline code and code behind
• Advanced HTML techniques including CSS & JavaScript without the aid of a WYSIWYG
• Cross-browser and cross-platform capabilities
• Troubleshooting/research ability
• Experienced implementing for e-commerce systems, and multi-site content management systems
• Clear written communication and strong interpersonal communication skills
• Advanced problem solving skills including analysis and debugging
• Familiarity with basic MS SQL coding preferred
• Understanding of Flash programming preferred
• Familiarity with source code management software preferred
• Familiarity with task and defect tracking software preferred

Education BS in computer science or related technical degree

Experience 3 years hands-on experience designing and developing production-quality applications in a commercial environment
